SPECIES LIST ---------- Before creating a character, it's important to know of the different kinds of aliens living on Gim. This handy list will tell you all you need to know, from how a species looks and acts to where you can find most of them on the planet.
Species are listed in order of power in Gim. The rarity level below each description tells how common it is for that species to be living on Gim, 1 meaning that everywhere you go you will meet them and 10 meaning there are only a few of the species remaining.
NATIVES ---------- The Natives are the original inhabitants of Gim. Every Native is rich and powerful, and the rulers of Gim are all Natives. They all appear human, with strikingly beautiful features. They aren't immortal, but they do have a very long life-span; they reach a certain age and then they stop growing. Natives are usually stuck-up and rude, looking down upon everyone else because of their seniority, but sometimes you may find one with a kind heart. They do not have any special abilities besides enhanced strength and speed, and not all Natives posses those skills.
Rarity -- 9
THE INA ---------- Sly and witty, the Ina are definitely not the people you would want as an enemy. They are somewhat like the Natives' companions, always flocking around them because they are the two richest species on the planet. The Ina, like Natives, are gorgeous on the outside. Despite their looks, the Ina are very vicious and will attack if threatened. The Ina are very similar to vampires, but not exactly the same. The Ina have enhanced speed and senses. They hunt almost every species besides themselves and the Natives.
Rarity -- 7
OHMA ---------- The Ohma are an amazing species. They are the quietest of anybody on Gim, but also one of the most powerful. They prefer to be alone rather than live in groups like the Ina or Natives. The Ohma usually have light-colored eyes and light hair, and are fairly small in stature. As for abilities, some might posses powers such as telepathy, telekinesis, or any other psychic-related ability. See the Unique Abilities thread for more information.
Rarity -- 7
TARR ---------- Tarr are people of the water. And before you think of mermaids, just know that the Tarr are completely different. While they can breathe underwater, communicate with fish, and swim exceedingly well, they are not able to turn into a fish in any way. They look like normal humans, as most species do.
Rarity -- 6
CHRONI ---------- Chroni are the last of the higher-ranked species of Gim. They appear to be normal humans, though they have enhanced senses (smelling, hearing, etc.). The one thing that is unique about them is that, at will, they can turn into one kind of animal. This animal is usually completely random, or based on the personality of the Chroni. Most Chroni are kind-hearted.
Rarity -- 5
SPECIALS ---------- Specials are the first species in the lower class of power on Gim. Every Special has enhanced senses, speed, and strength. They also acquire a special skill and ability, such as archery and flight. Because they are so powerful, the Natives tried to rid the planet of Specials a long time ago, but they just kept coming back. Specials do not inherit their abilities, and sometimes are just born as normal humans even though both parents were Specials. Other times, a child born from two humans can be a Special and not even know until adulthood. The Specials can only be born as humans; no other species can end up being a Special. See the Unique Abilities thread for more information.
Rarity -- 8
MUTTS ---------- Mutts are an odd species. They are only born from parents of two different breeds. Natives and animals are the only two species that cannot be mixed with another. Mutts take on the appearance of one of their parents, or sometimes a mixture of both. If a Mutt's parents have any special abilities, a Mutt will acquire only ONE ability from each parent.
Rarity -- 4
HUMAN MUTTS ---------- Just like Mutts, Human Mutts are a mixture of two different species. They occur when one parent is a human, and the other is another species. Natives and animals are the only two species that cannot be mixed with another. Human Mutts can also be born from a Special and another species, and they do not inherit the Special genes, making them half-human. Human Mutts take on the appearance of one of their parents, or a mix of both. A Human Mutt will inherit ONE special ability, if any, from ONE parent.
Rarity -- 4
HUMANS ---------- Humans are one of the newest species to live on Gim, along with the Specials. They have no special abilities, though they are very adaptable to their surroundings. Humans are currently the most common species on the planet.
Rarity -- 2
ANIMALS ---------- Animals come in all shapes and sizes. They came to Gim from Earth with the humans, so humans have the most knowledge on them. Any animal is acceptable, as long as it isn't endangered or extinct.
Rarity -- 4
